There are four early childhood programs available for your child here at Sandburg.  Depending on the class, children must be either 3 or 4 years old by September 15th.

• The Caterpillar class, one of our morning Preschool options, is a multi-age classroom for children 3 - 5 years old. Children may attend 2 or 4 mornings per week (Pre-K curriculum for 4 year olds who attend 4 days a week). The class time is 9:00-11:30, Monday through Thursday. 
• The Butterfly class, our afternoon Pre-K, is for children 4 - 5 years old. Children must attend all 4 afternoons, Monday through Thursday, 1:00-3:30.
• The Busy Bee class, which offers our Full Day Preschool option, is for children 3 - 5 years old (Pre-K curriculum for 4 year olds who attend 5 days a week). The class time is 9:00-3:30 Monday through Friday. 
• The Firefly class, our Parents' Day Out program, is for children 3 - 5 years old and is held Fridays, 9:00-1:00.

Our classroom teachers combined have many years of Preschool experience.  Our children experience many extensions of the curriculum including Music, Science and Computer Lab, 1st and 2nd grade Book Buddies and time in the Library.  We are licensed by the State of Colorado. Our classes follow the LPS school year calendar for holidays and breaks. 

The Preschoolers would like to greatly thank all the families at Sandburg for contributing so many Campbell’s Soup Labels to the school.  From your donations, we were able to “purchase” through points a fabulous CASH REGISTER that as you can see our children are thoroughly enjoying in our classrooms.  We have used it to buy and sell groceries, as well as during our recent Author Study Unit to buy and sell numerous books written and illustrated by our students.

Thank you again for taking the time to save those UPC symbols, we know some of them are not the easiest to get off those cans!!!
