Hello!,

     Let me take a moment to introduce myself to you.  My name is Laura Reck-Merkel.  I am a Colorado native and received my K-12 education within the Denver Public Schools system.  I then furthered my education and received my B.A. in Psychology and M.A. in Elementary Curriculum and Instruction.  I love working with students in the elementary setting and I am celebrating my eighth year of teaching.  This is my fourth year teaching kindergarten at Carl Sandburg Elementary. 

     When I am not in the classroom with the students, I can be found gardening, bike riding with my children, reading, or taking the family dogs for a walk.
