Welcome Busy Bee families, 

In our next unit, the children will have the opportunity to learn about "Science in our World" through investigation and experiments. They will also learn about cloud formation, weather and a variety of experiments with water, paint and magnets. This unit is always a fun and busy one, especially in present days with technology all around us.

Books:
  Boris Beaver,My river,It's Mine, It looked like Spilt Milk, Down comes theRain,Water as a Solid, The Shiver's in the Fridge, Emily's Ballon, Egg-ventures. 
 

 

Art:  Paint with ice cubes on fingerpaint paper,Paper on plate using magnetic painting, plexiglass paint. The children will decorate blown up ballons, stained glass eggs. In learning about Rivers, the children will be painting beavers, and create their own river fish. they will create their own clouds and paint rocks, as well.       

Small Groups:
  Practice the letter of the week with chalk, play dough, or shaving cream,  Other planned activities are "Penny Magic" which is cleaning pennies with water and vinegar, making predictions on what melts faster, crushed ice or cubed ice, and then running an expirement to prove the hypothesis. Finally, they will be working on a sequence activity from the story of "Tadpole to Frog".
