The Library Media curriculum includes the following components: 
* Literature - The Library Media curriculum broadens students' opportunities to acquire an appreciation of a variety of literature and to develop their abilities in reading, responding to, interpreting, and evaluating literature.
* Information - Literacy students learn to research by using the information literacy process: seeking, acquiring, evaluating, and constructing meaning from information.
* Knowledge - Students gain knowledge of how to use libraries as a valuable resource and learn skills in accessing information from various print formats and electronic technologies.
* Ethics - Students learn how to be ethical and responsible users of information.
* Communication - Students are prepared to effectively organize, produce, and communicate information and ideas in an appropriate format: e.g. print, electronic, oral, or graphic.
